@Anni: It wasn't even presented by Viva or MTV... I thought they will do, but until now I heard NOTHING and I'm watching every NEU and brand:neu just because of Saint Veronika! :( No Saint Veronika for Germany? :(

Well I heard RFTR and Saint Veronika here, I wish DOMS could be played also ;D

Good thing is that RFTR was on second place in today's list so I will keep my finger crossed for Veronika now ;D

I've read your posts about your kids many times and now I've that feeling to give you a little piece of my life. I've never done this before.

I've lost my two kids. My son died with 8 months and few months later I was pregnant and lost the baby in the beginning. 2003 wasn't my best year. I was destroyed in every part and I wonder myself that I had the power to get up every morning. I had the opportunity to went in a hospital for help or to life. The hospital-thing was nothing what I want to do. One day my dad said some things in a quit moment with tears in his eyes "Go your own way and come back as my daughter". On that point I had begun to change my life. Quit my job, cut my relationship, cancel my flat, pack my bags and went to London in the arms of my best friend. I was really break down and he took my hand and I'd travelled with him around the world. With all that crazy stuff, music, many tears, a lot of fun, faith and believe in life I start a new one. Almost a year later I came back to Cologne with a new feeling. I need many years to go into my old life, before that all happens. Now, almost 7 years ago, I'm sitting in London, doing breakfast with this guy who helped me out to come back into life. We went together through good and bad times during the last years, it's a bound for lifetime. They're no words on earth to describe how important he is. I'm back in life, having a good job, life alone, have a great family, few very good friends and have the power to walk through my life with a big smile on my face. My life isn't so bad, it's a part of it and it's ok - it's my story. It's me.....and now..thinking to myself "is that my Veronika Story"? I don't know but I think so. At first, for me and this chapter of life it's a song to say goodbye, my own song......

That's a sad story, Jasmin. That kind of loss is devastating. I know. And I admire you for picking yourself up after such a hard fall. If I may say so, I do think this is your "Veronika Story." You've found hope and redemption where many would not, which is exactly what Coehlo's story is all about. As for the "Saint Veronika" video, I think it's right up there with "Rusted" and "Surrender." I love it. The sock-puppet idea is creative, and the story is poignant, just like the song--although I will admit, I was surprised, initially, to see her completely unravel in the end (that got me choked up). I assume that although it means "death," it also means "freedom"? What I mean is, by being unraveled, she, symbolically, is no longer "bound" by or confined to the life that was constructed for her. I could be off, perhaps looking at it too deeply; that's not the first time a lit teacher has been accused of such a thing. :-) But that's how I figure the "beyond your window there is so much more" message applies. Be well, all. :-)

The single "Saint Veronika" comes out today - in Germany (I don't know the rest of the world)! It has something to do with the releases that you couldn't see the video on TV. Don't worry, wait few days or take a look at the weekend. I'm sure that you can see Veronika on TV now....or listen to the radio.

Well I wrote a mail to MTV why they're not showing it. I got an answer but all they said was, that they will sent this email to the responsible programdepartment, so I'm still waiting for a reply.... I hope I get one soon. I hope they will show it in the next "brand:neu", 'cause that's also what I told them to do, IF they're planning to show it.

okey so i hope they'll write back soon :) but on you.fm they play the song really often. even 3 or for weeks ago. i really wondered about that. and i think at last in two or three weeks we can see the vidoe on mtv or viva. :) ♥

At least where you live the mass majority of people know who Billy Talent are. I mention them to anyone and they usualy respond, "Who's that guy?" =/

Saint Veronika video is now playing on SCUZZ TV in the UK!!! I recorded it yesterday! xxxx
