January 16th, 2008 NEW FORUM Hello fans,
We just wanted to give you a little bit of info about changes to our Message Boards on our official website. If you have been on the boards recently I'm sure you have noticed the vulgar spam that keeps showing up. It's disgusting stuff and totally inappropriate. We try to delete them as fast as they arrive, but we can't keep up. As a result we've had to recreate the board with new heavy duty spam blockers (I don't think this is proper computer lingo; but I'm a bass player not a computer guy).
The board will be new and improved. Posts will be easier to read and we're putting up new topics. There will be a "Messages for Billy Talent" section where you can post messages for us to read, like, "You guys sucked in Toronto last night; but you looked really cool." or "Get a great Sandwich at Schwartz's Deli in Montreal". We'll be sure to read them. Other thread topics will be Official Announcements, Introduce Yourself, Billy Talent Related, Billy Talent's New Album, Tour & Appearances and the old General Discussion threads.
With the good comes a little bad. We're very sorry but the new board has to start from January 5th 2009 and on, anything posted on the old board after that day will be lost.
We hope everyone understands and enjoys the new boards. We'll see you all soon because the album is coming along awesome and touring is not far off in the horizon.
